Typed copies of short humorous articles (55 p.) about characters and life in Illinois, probably written while working at the Central Illinois Gazette. Two land grants, 1861, signed by Stoddard for Lincoln giving land to Charlotte Odele and the heirs of Sumner Brooks and assigned to "Charles MacAlester and James Markoe" of McAlester & Markoe Land Co. of Philadelphia. Letter sent from Madison, New Jersey, 1924, to Cordelia Jackson stating that he has nothing to add to her Lincoln Collection.
